Paldo Raises Prices on 21 Products as Korean Ramen Makers Diverge on Costs
Paldo will lift factory prices on 21 cup noodle and beverage products from September 1, joining Nongshim and Ottogi in raising costs, while export-heavy Samyang Foods holds the line.

Paldo will raise factory prices on 21 products, including 12 cup noodle items and 9 beverage items, by an average of 5.5% to 5.8%, effective September 1. The South Korean food company cited rising input costs as the reason for the increase.
The move makes Paldo the third of Korea's four major ramen makers to raise cup noodle prices in the second half of the year, following Nongshim and Ottogi. Samyang Foods is the only one of the four holding prices steady.
